Better Nutrient Absorption Research has found that certain nutrients are absorbed better when eaten with avocado. In one study, when participants ate a salad containing avocados, they absorbed five times the amount of carotenoids (a group of nutrients that includes lycopene and beta carotene) than those who didn't include avocados.

GARCINIA Cola, popularly called bitter kola has been identified as a potent antibiotic which could be efficacious in the treatment of HIV and AIDS. Bitter kola is found in the tropical rain region and given different names in Nigeria. It is known as Orogbo in Yorubland, Namijin-goro among Hausa, Akuilu in Igboland.A researcher with the Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA), Mrs. Chinyere Nwokeke told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the kola could be used in treating opportunistic infections associated with HIV.Bitter kola "is highly recommended in the treatment of HIV and AIDS because of its anti-bacterial, detoxification and cleansing properties," she said.She said that the chemical Saponin in bitter kola is responsible for its cleansing effect. Saponin is mainly used as tonic for the liver, it enhances the functions of the liver and gall bladder."It is also very effective in the treatment of cough, diarrhoea, tuberculosis and other bacterial infections."When food is suspected to be contaminated by bacteria, chew bitter kola immediately after, it will forestall the development of any infection or poisoning," she added.Nwokeke said that in the past, the kola was eaten mostly by the elderly because of their belief that it could prolong life."Actually researches in modern science have revealed that bitter kola contains chemical compounds that will help the breakdown of glycogen in the liver and has other medicinal uses which account for its longevity property in man. "Bitter kola is anti-poison too, it has the ability to repel evil men and spirits, it could sound superstitious but it works, she said.The naturalist said that the seed and the bark of bitter kola should be eaten together in cases where food poisoning is suspected, "it helps to detoxify the system.""It can also be used to repel snakes for those who live in areas that are prone to snakes," she said.She also said that bitter kola could be used in the treatment of breast cancer as it has anti-cancerous effect.For children, when ground and mixed with honey, bitter kola could be used in the treatment of measles and mumps, it should be taken orally and also applied externally in the case of mumps," she said.Nwokeke also revealed the efficacy of the bitter kola in vomiting for both children and adults."It can be used to clear coarse voice, it clears the voice by stimulating the production of mucus along the lining of the vocal tube which softens the dry throat," she added.She also revealed that the body craves for bitter foods from time to time. Five Simple Ways to Live a Natural Lifestyle



What does it look like to live a “Natural Lifestyle”?
There are all kinds of different definitions for the word “natural”.   Many foods are labeled “natural” in an attempt to appeal to the conscientious consumer.  Corn growers pay for advertisements that say that High Fructose Corn Syrup is “natural”.  Well, sure it is…in a loose sense of the word I suppose, but that doesn’t make it good for us.  Shucks…arsenic is natural.
My own definition of living a ”Natural Lifestyle” I suppose would be “getting back to the basics”.  Whether we’re talking about food, family choices, in general taking care of ourselves…doesn’t it just sound refreshing to “get back to the basics”?
Here are five simple ways I’d like to suggest to live a more Natural Lifestyle:
1.  Eat Real Food
Yes, you’re so surprised I listed this one aren’t you?  Real food is best.  Food in it’s natural form.  Food that isn’t processed.  Food that tastes so stinkin’ good you don’t know what to do with yourself!!!  It’s amazing what food without chemicals tastes like!

2.  Drink Water
I already wrote about how you should drink more water and told you about some healthy alternatives to soda and other not-so-good-for-you beverages.  But really…one of the simplest (and cheapest!) ways for you to adopt a more natural lifestyle is to stop filling your body with icky beverages and just drink water.
3.  Exercise
Yeah, and this advice is coming from me…the girl who doesn’t really like to exercise.  Guess what though?!  My husband and I have made it a point to exercise together three days a week for the past few weeks and I’m actually starting to like it!  I’ve heard people say that once you start exercising regularly, you begin to crave it.  I never believed them.  Until now.
It’s really not as hard as you think, but exercising is just like anything else you need to be doing…YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO IT.  I know, profound. The main idea is this:  Do what you can to not be sedentary.
A side benefit of exercising:  You’ll crave more water and more real foods.  Yeah, somehow having a candy bar and soda after exercising feels a little silly.  Water and fruit sounds much better.
4.  Stay Home More
This may seem like a weird item for our Natural Lifestyle list…but it doesn’t get much simpler or more natural than this.  Stay home more. You’ll save money, your vehicles will last longer…and joy of joys…you may not be so worn out all the time!  I find that when I’m running from here to there and back again…I am completely exhausted AND behind on all the work I need to do at home.  We don’t need THAT much outside “stuff”.  When you’re home more…you’ll find you’ll be more rested and more relaxed…naturally.
5.  Waste Less
The more natural your lifestyle, the less waste you’ll have.  If you make your food from scratch, you’ll have a lot less packaging trash.  If you serve smaller portions and make it a point to eat leftovers, you’ll throw away less food.  If you don’t buy stuff you don’t need, you’ll waste a LOT less money.  If you use cloth napkins and let your kids draw on used scratch paper, you’ll save a lot of trees.  None of these things are hard.  You just have to be a bit more intentional.
And then of course there are all kinds of other things I’d recommend as you work your way to a more Natural Lifestyle, like planting a garden, buying locally grown produce and other foods, getting good sleep and eating lots of chocolate.
Just kidding. Chocolate may be natural, but eating lots of it would be “The Simplest way to Gain Five Pounds”.  That‘s another post for another day.

FOOD SUPPLEMENTS FOR CHILDREN



During preganancy mothers are told to feed well with the essential nutrient required for proper formation of the baby since they are developing rapidly but after this stage of child delivering more work still need to be done so that they can grow healtdy and function normal under this section mothers are going to be taught on how to use natural food supplement

to take care of their children without using formula milk simple called baby food
Before we proceed let me tell you a simple truth about formulas as a chemist we deal with the chemical and bio-chemical mechanism of baby food ,most formula contain substances harmful to the baby sometimes chemical used for plastic production are included to increase the yield which at the long rum can creat serious health condition for the growing baby even it is not always real cow milk that are evaporated sometime it is the combination ofchemicals why expose your child to such danger when you can actually used natural means that have no side effect to feed your baby and be happy
Since the time of old our parent are fed using this method and it contains no chemical why add chemical to the body while the body already have a enough we are in a world where everything is processed while during this process vital nutrient are lost or removed you can make change now by encouraging natural way of feeding children without using cow milk or formula still get 100% of the vital nutrients
I am going to tell you things to do and how to do these things in order to achieve your goal step to undertake at each stage of the development so that no effort is lost you can teach other so that mother should be aware of the gain of carrying such activities
Supplementary to main dishes for six month old
These are food given to six month babies when the mother decide to supplement the breast milk after carrying baby friendly method
Baby friendly method :
Simply means that after delivery the mother decide not to gave any other food to the baby except breast milk water is not included for atleast six month after which she may decide to include water as the baby mature some mother can not cope with this method so will decide to use formula milk but some mother do not know that the breast contains 95% of water and the rest are made up of milk
Mothers are encourage to breast feed for at least one year during this period of development foods that are home cooked can be added this were I come in during this stage the child food should contain a lot of fiber and less milk doe milk is required for the formation of strong bones 



One of the several ways of preparing supplementary food for six month and above 

    
For six month old whenever such meal are prepared it should be in watering forms so that it can be consumed without difficulties children under this age fine it difficult to eat since the teeth are not well develop o perform such function it is normally advicable to prepared it in watering form as they grow up their mother should reduce the amount of water and make it thick children can be fed with this supplementary dish until one year the mother can desire to continue or introduce other stable food as time goes or continue to supplement with other thinks so that the baby will get used to it
Some baby find it difficult to cope with stable food when newly introduce but if there are being fed in the beginning with such food it will not pose any problem because the stomach have to get used of this new diet thereby I can lead to diahorrer or stomach crumbs for some days even weeks before the stomach of the baby and the baby food can go along even apart from that the stool of the baby will smell very often sometimes a certained color are showed(black tool) all this can be avoided if this baby are fed using the natural way
There are many benefit using natural supplementary
Natural supplementary contains high level of fiber which help them to toilet very well
Contain all the vital nutrient and vitamins required for good skin and fresh looking
It contains carbohydrate required for energy
It contains high level of protein for proper formation of cells and coordination of enzyme
It contains mineral acids required for strong bones
What else will you ask for all these in a single food supplementary why waste money when you can prepared these things yourself also be sure what is going into the mouth of your baby see your child growing well and strong also this supplement food improve the antibodies of the child this antibodies are the soldier of the body fighting against disease and infection you will be glad you try it.
Supplementary food prepared for a newborn when refuse to breast feed 
This is a type of supplementary food prepared for new born when the mother is not available or decide not to fed the baby due to certained ailment or disease or the mother is dead.somepeople make use of white-nurse that is someone paid to do the breasting to that that baby or the family of the baby
Soybean crayfish with groundnut pap pudding
Pudding means dish of food made with sweet mixture serve as part of a meal
Ingredient: soybeans, crayfish, groundnut, pap
Method of preparation:
Ensure that the soybeans is roasted between 150-170  for 20minuteswhen there is color change from white to golden brown you remove from the fire
Method of preparation of soybeans either through the use of oven or place the soybean in an empty frying pan without any other thing inside place in a fire stir as long as in the fire so that it will not burn make sure that the fire is moderate after 20minute remove from the fire allow to cool after which you take to the machine peel the back so that only the inside remains but it is prefer to ground with chaff later you fitter with a sieve so that the larger size particle can be remove the chaff is a good source of fiber .
The groundnut is fried -or bake in an oven at a temperature of 120-130  for 10minutes after which the back of the groundnut is peel after allowing to cool.
The crayfish is dried and selected to ensure that it does not contained dirty then baked or dried fry without oil you can also grill if you want to.
Then after the preparation of these three ingredient mixed together
3 cups of soybeans
2 cups of groundnut
1 cup of crayfish
Blend all three together until a fine texture is obtained that is powdered texture that looks like a fine prepared milk
This supplementary food can be mixed with the following
Pap
Cereals
Grains
Wheat
Or can be added into meal for adult that required high level of protein and yeast those suffering from eye problem can used as a supplementary food instead taking tablet
When giving this to a neonate it is good to mix with pap it is made from corn which contains carbohydrates fiber protein and mineral
The corn is soak in water for two days so that it can ferment to allow the toxic chemical to leave the corn by now the corn is soft and discolor then it is ground to a pastry mixture sieve with it we will end up with two product one that is liquid and the order solid leave the watering solution to settle for one hour you can use the solid left over to feed cow sheep or goat it is high in nutrient
Then remove the water from the former take some portion put hot water on fire allow to boil before then mix the corn flower with cold water then add the hot water to the corn flower stir
If it is being prepared for new born ensures that it is prepared on the fire so that the corn flower can be cooked for 10minutes but if it is for 6mon,th and above such procedure is not required.

Supplement food for 6month to 9month
 

Custard pudding:
This type of pudding is encourages for 9m0nth and above it is reach source of carbohydrates protein and mineral salt
Ingredients:
Custard powder, sugar cake(cup cake) barabaranut (powder) ,orange juice          
Procedure :
Pour custard powder into a small bowl and mix thoroughly with warm water, add sugar and orange to floured and stir well
Put a pot on fire add small quantity of water tp the pot stir very well with spoon .cook it like pap and do not let it be too thick or to watery add the barabarant to the dish stir together then add the nutmeg for taste on the fire cover for 3minute
Put the pot down from the fire served the custard pudding with add your soya milk instead of formula it all natural

Tapioca pudding
This suitable for 9month to 1year it contains       it is a rich source of vital nutrient for development and all naturally procedures to make
Ingredient: 2cup of tapioca grain, one whole coconut water,
Half cup of sugar, nutmeg, 2 cup of soy milk, orange juice, half teaspoon of salt
Procedures:
Wash and soak the tapioca in water overnight or from morning till evening to become soft
put pot on fire add the coconut water into it after grounding the coconut sieve to remove the chaff and make use of the sieve water put the tapioca with the coconut water allow to cook for 10minute after which you add sugar and alittle pinch of salt then the orange juice and nutmeg stir together very well cover well
hen allow to cook serve into smaller bowls add soy milk solution to it is best taken with teaspoon

all this food supplement are great meal for children that are developing the interesting thing is that no formula is needed just feed your baby with this food and the mother spend less for in purchasing expensive and dangerous element natural means is the answer to how unending quest for solution.
